So you’re going home…

How wonderful! You got the green light to leave the hospital with your new little gift…. BUT if you’re anything like me, you get to the car, look in the backseat and think, what the hell is happening?  They just let you leave like that? This baby’s just all mine to care for and no one blinked.  Thanks for your service. Bye now… Yes, that’s exactly how it is.  Carseat’s set up ok. Take care now…. This is the time you realize that you have to put your big girl panties on and be a mama.  (Sidebar: I hate the word panties, but it fits here so work with me.) You drive more carefully because you have precious cargo.  You check for breaths because you want to make sure everything’s ok…Every movement; every squeak makes you nervous while you try to learn this new little person.  All of that is ok… Again, there may be some of you Rockstar mamas that from the jump didn’t have these fears or apprehensions, and that’s awesome. Bravo for you, but for those of us that are still trying to figure this all out, read on… Note: For the Rockstar mamas, the next segment is pretty brutal/upfront/honest.  I’ve received negative feedback when I presented it initially, and you may feel the same.. Gentle reminder, X is in the top right corner. I get that I’m not everyone’s cup of tea.
